Upendra Kushwaha, born on February 6, 1960, is a prominent Indian politician. He has served as a Member of Bihar Legislative Council and Assembly, and has held the position of Minister of State for Human Resources and Development in the Government of India. As a former MP from the Karakat constituency and a member of the Rajya Sabha, he has had significant political influence. Kushwaha was the leader of the Rashtriya Samata Party, which merged into Janata Dal (United) in 2009, and later formed the Rashtriya Lok Morcha in 2023 after leaving JD(U) due to conflicts.
