Ursula Pohl, born Ursula Kreißler on December 8, 1913, in Berlin, was a German film director and assistant director. She was notable for being the first woman to direct a short film in East Germany (DDR), although the film was released in theaters several years later. Pohl's contributions to the film industry were significant during a period when female directors were rare. She passed away on March 29, 1999, in Hamburg.
