Urxan Ələkbərov, born on April 28, 1943, in Baku, is a prominent Azerbaijani academic and biologist. He serves as the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan and holds the title of Doctor of Biological Sciences. An esteemed member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, he has been part of the Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Fund since July 18, 2014, and a member of the Council for the Management of State Service since February 20, 2018. Additionally, he chairs the Azerbaijani National Committee of UNESCO's Man and Biosphere Programme.
