Václav Souček (January 17, 1941 – April 25, 2022) was a Czech journalist, publicist, moderator, and occasional singer. He was known as an editor for Czech Radio in Hradec Králové and the moderator for the folk group Lokálka. Souček began his career in a piano factory and later became a prominent figure in the folk music scene, hosting festivals and programs. He also served as a judge for literary competitions and received the Zlatá Porta award in 1986 for contributions to the genre. He co-won the Ferdinand Peroutka Prize in 2005.
