Vadim R. Apikov is a Russian aircraft engineer and the Director General of FGUP 'IRIS'. Born on January 24, 1951, in Rostov-on-Don, he served in the army from 1969 to 1971. Apikov started his career at Aircraft Repair Plant No. 412 and later worked in a special design bureau. He graduated from Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute in 1977. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to become the Director General of FGUP 'IRIS' in 1997. He is also a member of the 'High Technologies' association.
