Vadim Novinsky is a Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist born on June 3, 1963, in Staraya Russa, Novgorod Oblast, Russia. He is among Ukraine's wealthiest individuals and served as a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the 7th to the 9th convocations. Novinsky is a junior partner of Rinat Akhmetov and the main shareholder of the Smart Group, owning shares in Metinvest and other assets. He has been a deacon of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine since April 2020, contributing significantly to medical and rehabilitation centers, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and Russo-Ukrainian War.
