Vahe Stepanyan is a distinguished Armenian lawyer and scholar, born on April 6, 1948. He earned his doctorate in judicial science and served as Armenia's first Minister of Justice post-independence. Stepanyan played a crucial role in drafting the Armenian Constitution, which was approved by over 98% of the populace in 1995. After his ministerial role, he held various academic and legal positions and led the Human Rights Defender's office. Currently, he is the head of the chair of European and international law at Yerevan State University while engaging in numerous governmental roles.
