Vahit Kirişci is a Turkish agricultural engineer, university professor, and politician from the Justice and Development Party (AKP). Born on December 1, 1960, in Kahramanmaraş, he graduated from Çukurova University and wrote his dissertation at Cranfield University. Kirişci served as a lecturer and later as a professor at Çukurova University. He was a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly representing Adana and chaired the parliamentary agriculture committee during both the 22nd and 23rd legislatures. He speaks English and is married with three children.
