Valentin Atanasov is a retired Bulgarian sprinter born on May 7, 1961, in Kjustendil, Bulgaria. He specialized in the 100 metres and achieved a personal best time of 10.15 seconds in August 1982, ranking him second among Bulgarian sprinters in this event. In addition to his sprinting career, Atanasov also participated in bobsleigh competitions at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics. His contributions to athletics, particularly at the European Indoor Championships, have been noteworthy.
