Valentin Golubev was a Soviet poet and translator, born on November 25, 1948, in Sosnovaya Polyana, Leningrad Oblast, and passed away on July 28, 2024. He became a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR in 1990, and later the Union of Writers of Russia in 1992. Golubev authored numerous poetry collections and received several literary awards, including the Ladoga Prize in 2001 and the Orthodox Prize named after St. Alexander Nevsky in 2004.
