Valentin Nikolaevich Kasatkin was a Soviet educator and mathematician born on February 23, 1926, in Sverdlovsk. He played a significant role in integrating the foundations of cybernetics into Soviet education. He was honored as a Distinguished Educator of Ukraine in 1993 and served as the President of the Crimean Academy of Sciences. His contributions were recognized with his membership as a corresponding member of the Crimean Academy of Sciences. He passed away on July 27, 1998, in Simferopol.
