Valentina Sergejevna Stenina, born on December 29, 1934, in Babrujsk, Belarusian SSR, is a former Soviet speed skater. She began competing internationally in 1957 and won her first silver medal at the World Championships in 1959. Stenina won a gold medal at the 1960 World Championships and competed in the 1960 Winter Olympics, winning silver in the 3000 m event. She earned another gold at the World Championships in 1961 and continued to excel in subsequent years, culminating in her retirement after the 1967/1968 season. Her husband was fellow speed skater Boris Stenin.
