Valentyn Gryhorovych Matvieiev is a Ukrainian politician born on March 28, 1943, in Andreevka. He is a member of the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU) and has held various political positions since December 2012, including Deputy Chairman of the CPU faction in the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and Secretary of the Committee on Regulations, Deputy Ethics, and the activities of the Verkhovna Rada. Matvieiev has also been a member of the CPU Presidium since October 1997 and has led the All-Ukrainian Association of Deputies Councils for Social Justice and People's Power since December 2000.
