Valeska Jakobasch was a German politician born on November 23, 1912, in St. Andreasberg. She worked in various capacities at the Mückenberg plant starting from 1945. In 1949, she became the secretary of the SED industrial group and then worked at the Brown Coal Administration in Lauchhammer. She was involved with the Democratic Women's League of Germany and served as its district chairwoman in 1951. Jakobasch was also a member of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt from 1950 to 1952.
