Valmer Luks is an Estonian singer and musician born on April 18, 1978, in Kärla. He graduated from Kuressaare Lastemuusikakool with a specialization in piano and studied choral conducting at Georg Otsa Tallinn Music School under Hirvo Surva. Luks has sung in church, children's, and boys' choirs, and has been involved in folk music and dance. He founded the ensemble Lux in 1995, which continues to perform today.
