Born in 1949 in Papades, Evia, he studied Forestry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Elected as a member of parliament for Euboea with the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), targeting issues related to agricultural development, environment, energy, and social policy.
