Vardan (Vladimir) Ruben Grigoryan was an Armenian historian born on January 26, 1929, in Dilijan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He earned the title of Doctor of Historical Sciences in 1975. Grigoryan was a correspondent member of the Syrian Geographical Society and an honorary member of the University of Aleppo's Academy. His contributions to historical research were recognized both nationally and internationally. He passed away on March 28, 2019, in Yerevan, Armenia.
