Archbishop Varoujan Hergelian, born Boghos Hergelian on May 18, 1946, in Anjar, Lebanon, served as the Catholicosal Vicar of the Armenian Prelature of Cyprus from August 1997 to May 2014. Following his graduation from the Seminary School of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in 1967, he held various religious positions across Lebanon, Greece, and Cyprus. He founded two newspapers, Ardziv and Keghart, and transformed community venues, initiating significant cultural events like an annual book fair.
