Vartan Khachatur Arachelian, born on October 21, 1936, in Titești, Vâlcea, Romania, is a Romanian-Armenian prose writer and publicist. He graduated from Bucharest University in 1965. His notable works include 'The Adventures of Originality' (1968), 'How We Learn to Live' (1978), and a two-volume documentary novel titled 'The Autumn of Our Suffering' (1980) and 'After Hell, Sunday' (1983). In 2008, he published a bibliographic work on Hakob Joloyan Siruni, and in 2011, 'Siruni: An Odyssey of a Persecuted'.
