Vasile Nițu is a former Romanian senator who served from 1990 to 1992, elected in Argeș County on the FSN party list. He was also a deputy from 1992 to 1996, again elected in Argeș but on the PDSR party list. Nițu resigned from the Chamber of Deputies on February 22, 1993, and was replaced by Vasile Stan. During his term as senator, he was a member of friendship parliamentary groups with Italy and Japan.
