Vasily Andreyevich Glukhikh (February 10, 1929 – July 19, 2021) was a prominent Soviet and Russian scientist specializing in nuclear fusion energy. He held the titles of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, and was an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Glukhikh served as the director of the D.V. Efremov Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus from 1974 to 2003, later becoming the scientific head until 2016 and then an honorary scientific head until his passing.
