Vasily Ivanovich Sedugin (January 8, 1935 – September 12, 2013) was a Russian historian and writer. He held a Doctorate in Historical Sciences and was a professor at the Department of History, Philosophy, and Cultural Studies at the Novomoskovsk Institute of the D. I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical and Technological University. Sedugin authored numerous local studies on the history of Novomoskovsk, the Novomoskovsk State Regional Power Plant, the chemical-mechanical technical school (now a polytechnic college), and several historical novels about Ancient Rus.
