Vasily Trofimovich Sirotenko (November 9, 1915 – August 9, 2006) was a Soviet, Ukrainian, and Russian historian, specializing in ancient history and medieval studies. He was an expert in the history of late antiquity and the historiography of the Migration Period. He earned a Doctor of Historical Sciences in 1973 and became a professor in 1974. Sirotenko served as the first head of the Department of Ancient History and Middle Ages at Perm State University and taught at Dnipropetrovsk University and Armavir Pedagogical Institute from 1998 until his death.
