Vasily Mikhailovich Tarasyuk was a Russian politician born on October 10, 1948. He served as a member of the State Duma and was affiliated with the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR). Tarasyuk was notably Deputy Chairman of the State Duma's Committee on Natural Resources and Utilization. Before his political career, he held the position of chairman at a petroleum company. His life tragically ended when he drowned in the Dead Sea while on vacation in Israel on May 6, 2017.
