Vasily Afanasyevich Voronov, born on April 22, 1948, is a Russian Soviet writer and journalist. He served as the chief editor of the 'Don' magazine from 1986 to 1992 and was the chairman of the Rostov region Writers' Union from 2006 to 2011. Voronov has also held the position of secretary in the Russian Writers' Union and is recognized as the biographer of M. A. Sholokhov.
