Vasyl Dovzhyk (born Vasyl Mykhailovych Dozhyk on June 9, 1943, in Prystailove – May 30, 2022) was a Ukrainian poet, prose writer, translator, and playwright. He was also an actor in theater and film, and hosted literary programs for the National Radio Company of Ukraine. Dovzhyk was a member of the National Union of Writers since 1980 and the National Union of Theater Workers. His contributions to literature and theater have made him a notable figure in Ukrainian culture.
