Vasyl Hrubinko is a Ukrainian biologist and educator born on October 20, 1959, in Lakhovo, Ukraine. He earned his Doctor of Biological Sciences degree in 1995 and became a professor in 1999. He is a full member of the Ukrainian Ecological Academy since 2000 and serves as the vice-president of the Hydroecological Society of Ukraine, while also chairing its Ternopil regional branch.
