Verina Rosiland Wihongi is a New Zealand taekwondo practitioner known for her achievements in the sport. She holds a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and made history as the first woman to represent New Zealand in taekwondo at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Her qualification for the Olympics came after winning both a selection tournament in Auckland and the Asian Taekwondo Games held in Bangkok. Wihongi's accomplishments have contributed to the visibility and development of women's taekwondo in New Zealand.
