Veronica Planella is a former Canadian field hockey player born in Santiago, Chile, on November 24, 1963. She was a member of the 1992 Olympic squad and earned international caps for the Women's Senior National Team. A resident of Victoria, BC, she has received prestigious awards, including Chilean Athlete of the Year in 1985. After her playing career, she pursued education in Sport and Exercise Psychology and coaching expertise. Currently, she teaches at the University of Victoria while working in performance psychology and coaching education.
