Veronika Dari was a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Tallinn who was shot in the head while walking to her school, the Kesklinna Russian Gymnasium, on October 7, 2005. She succumbed to her injuries on October 11, 2005, in the intensive care unit of Mustamäe Hospital. Following her death, her parents donated her kidneys to those in need. Four men were later convicted in connection with the shooting.
