Viacheslav Samofalov is a notable Ukrainian musician, born on February 7, 1963, in Kursk, USSR. He serves as a solo instrumentalist with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine since 1990. A distinguished conductor and composer, he was awarded the Honored Artist of Ukraine in 1999 and the People's Artist of Ukraine in 2012. He has been a lecturer since 2005 at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and became a professor in 2014. Furthermore, he has been a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine since 1992 and a professor of orchestral and symphonic conducting at the National Music Academy of Ukraine since 2023.
