Victor Ernest Schaefer is an accomplished American college basketball coach, born on March 2, 1961. He is currently the head women's basketball coach at the University of Texas at Austin. Schaefer has previously led the Mississippi State Bulldogs women's team from 2012 to 2020, and before that, he was the head coach at Sam Houston State from 1990 to 1997. Known for his coaching prowess, Schaefer has made significant contributions to women's basketball at various collegiate levels.
