Vicenta Jimenez García is a Valencian politician and teacher born on March 13, 1965, in Alcoi. She holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Alicante and currently teaches secondary education in Villena. A member of the Alcoi circle of Podem, she was elected as a senator for the province of Alicante in the 2016 Spanish general elections under the coalition 'A la valenciana'. Notably, she is the first senator from Alcoi since the restoration of democracy in 1977.
