Victoria Roycroft, born on April 17, 1953, is a prominent Australian equestrian known for her participation in three Olympic Games. She competed in three-day eventing in 1984 and transitioned to show jumping in 1988 and 1996. In 1987, riding her horse Apache, she became the first Australian and the first woman to win the Rome Grand Prix. Roycroft was married to Wayne Roycroft until their separation in 2000 and faced the tragic loss of their son Mark in 2003. Recently, on April 15, 2023, she suffered a heart attack while preparing for a competition.
