Victor Fet is a researcher specialized in scorpions and spiders, born in Russia in 1955. He graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1976 and completed his studies at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1984. Fet moved to the United States in 1988 and is currently a faculty member in the Biological Sciences Department at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. His research on spiders and scorpions has led to the identification and naming of six species among the 42 he has studied.
