Viktor Borisovich Kisin (1933—1997) was a Soviet and Ukrainian television director, screenwriter, educator, and professor. He received his doctorate in arts in 1981 and was honored as a Distinguished Artist of Ukraine in 1993. Kisin co-founded the first department of television directing in the Soviet Union at the Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts, now known as the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema, and Television University. He also established a similar department at the Kyiv State Institute of Culture, now the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
