Viktor Alexandrovich Misiano, born on December 31, 1957, in Moscow, USSR, is a Russian theorist and curator of contemporary art. He founded and has been the chief editor of 'Art Magazine' since 1993. Misiano was the chief curator for Russian pavilions at the Venice Biennale in 1995 and 2003, and for the first Central Asian pavilion in 2005. He co-founded Manifesta Journal in 2003 with Igor Zabel and served as its chief editor until 2011. He is the son of a notable Soviet historian and the grandson of an Italian political figure.
