Viktor Faddeevich Sokolov (August 8, 1928 – August 15, 2010) was an electric locomotive driver at the Moscow-Sorting Locomotive Depot and the only individual in the Soviet railway industry to be awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor twice. In spring 1980, he made history by hauling a freight train weighing 10,000 tons, and in January 1977, he was the first in the world to haul a coal freight train exceeding 6,000 tons.
