After meeting philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti in 1958, she shifted her focus to individual spiritual liberation and taught meditation globally. In 1979, she resumed social activism, founding centers to educate communities on various issues. Thakar emphasized the balance between personal spiritual development and social responsibility, as reflected in her book 'Spirituality and Social Action.' She passed away on March 11, 2009.
