Vincent Hanley (1954-1987) was a pioneering Irish radio DJ and television presenter known as 'Fab Vinny'. He started his career in 1976 on RTÉ Radio Cork and became a prominent figure on RTÉ Radio 1 and TV. Hanley co-founded Green Apple Productions and launched the music video show MT-USA, earning recognition as Europe's first VJ. He was the first Irish celebrity to die from an AIDS-related illness, marking a significant moment in LGBT history in Ireland. Hanley's life and legacy were later explored in a documentary aired by RTÉ.
