After returning to represent Kenya, he recorded a personal best of 2:09:22, finishing sixth at the 2010 Houston Marathon. He holds a record for the Istanbul Marathon and has consistently achieved top finishes in various international marathon events, including being a title defender in Istanbul 2011.
