Vincent Rivasseau is a French mathematical physicist born on December 5, 1955, in Talence. He studied at the École normale supérieure and then at Princeton University. He obtained his PhD from the University of Paris VI in 1979 and became a researcher at CNRS in 1981. Since 2001, he has been a professor at the University of Paris-Sud. His research focuses on Constructive Quantum Field Theory and Renormalization Theory, with applications in many-body theories and quantum gravitation. He is involved in scientific development in Africa and has organized seminars at the Institut Henri Poincaré.
