He served as the President of the Nepal Geological Society and was the Founder President of the Stratigraphic Association of Nepal, holding this position from 1999 to 2010. Additionally, he was a retired Gazetted 1st class officer in the Department of Mines and Geology, contributing significantly to the geological studies and associations in Nepal.
