Violette Verdy (1933 – 2016) was a French ballet dancer, choreographer, music teacher, and university professor. Born in Pont-l'Abbé, she served as Artistic Director for Boston Ballet from 1980 to 1984 and was the Artistic Director for the Paris Opera Ballet from 1977 to 1980. Throughout her career, she made significant contributions to the ballet world and was recognized for her talents in performance and choreography. She passed away in Bloomington.
