Virginia Foster Durr (August 6, 1903 – February 24, 1999) was an American civil rights activist and lobbyist. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of Presbyterian minister Sterling Foster and Anne Patterson Foster. Durr married lawyer Clifford Durr at the age of 22. She was a close friend of Rosa Parks and Eleanor Roosevelt and was related by marriage to Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black. Durr was inducted into the Alabama Women's Hall of Fame in 2006, recognizing her significant contributions to civil rights.
