Vivion de Valera was an Irish politician, businessman, and lawyer, serving as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1945 to 1981. Born in Dublin in 1910, he was the eldest son of Éamon de Valera. Educated at Blackrock College and University College Dublin, he also served in the military as a Major during World War II. De Valera was a director of The Irish Press for five decades and its managing director from 1951. His political career began with a by-election in 1945, and he continued to serve until his retirement in 1981. He passed away in 1982.
