Vladimir Petrovich Bochkarev (born December 28, 1932) is a prominent Kazakh scientist and member of the Academy of Engineering of Kazakhstan since 1992. He graduated from the Kazakh Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in 1955, moving on to work at the Institute of Geological Sciences. Under the guidance of Satpayev, he significantly contributed to engineering geology, particularly in irrigation projects. Bochkarev developed geo-ecological models of various basins and was involved in the design of irrigation systems in Czechoslovakia and Peru, authoring numerous scientific articles and monographs.
