Vladimir Curbet was a prominent Moldovan choreographer, known for his significant contributions to the national folk dance scene. He served as the director of the Moldovan national folk dance ensemble Joc from 1957 until his passing in 2017. Curbet celebrated his 87th birthday just days before his death on December 8, 2017. His legacy includes the many performances that enriched the cultural landscape of Moldova. Following his death, he was laid to rest in the Chișinău Central Cemetery on December 13, 2017.
