Vladimir Evgenyevich Goodilin (April 8, 1938 – October 29, 2015) was a prominent military figure known for his leadership in the preparation and launch of the 'Energy' launch vehicle and the 'Energy-Buran' aerospace transport system. He held the title of Doctor of Technical Sciences and was an esteemed test engineer for space technology. He was also an honorary radioman of the USSR, a distinguished citizen of Baikonur, an academician of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky, and a retired major general.
