Vladimir Maher is a Slovenian officer and veteran of the Slovenian War, born on April 10, 1957, in Apače. He served as the commander of a platoon and company in a light brigade in the Yugoslav People's Army after completing his military education. Maher was an active participant in the Slovenian War and helped organize the Maneuver Structure of National Protection. He was promoted to brigadier in May 2008 and retired in November 2012. He resides in Šentilj.
